Agriculture making headlines

Holiday Tree Farm Headline

Nothing awakens the senses, and the holiday spirit, quite like the crisp, refreshing aroma of a real Christmas tree. Now that the season is here, farmers across Tennessee are opening their gates to families who want to pick and cut their own.

Wines of the South Headline

For the seventeenth year, the University of Tennessee Department of Food Science hosted the Wines of the South regional wine competition in October. Forty-seven wineries from eight states competed against one another in categories such as rosé and blush, red, sparkling, white and cider.

A New TN Crop

Highly anticipated crops like pumpkins usually get all of the attention during the autumn months. Tennessee mushrooms, however, are coming out of the woodwork this season as a nutrient powerhouse.
